Open CLIL + Pinterest

Hello everybody!

Today, I am going to offer you some ideas, resources and materials to create your CLIL lesson plan for your children. In my master, we are doing a bank of common knowledge in Pinterest, posting at least 6 free resources and without copyright in a board of our class.

I think that this activity is very interesting because all of us are searching and sharing information, resources… which we will use to create future CLIL lessons, using these free things, respecting the laws of use of these tools. It´s true that there are many webs and tools that you can use with your children in your class and we know it, but the copyright doesn´t allow us to post them. I´m very sorry. Laws are like that.

To sum up, the tools and webs that we have found are good and fun for the children and we are learning more things about the Internet and their uses.

In my case, some resources, videos and pages that I could find and post in our board in Pinterest, which is called “Open CLIL”, are: 

• Science in school

This is an incredible web to do experiments with fifth or sixth graders about Natural Science (Biology, Chemistry...) and you can use them in a CLIL lesson to practise its contents. 

• Arts and Crafts (Activity) 

An entertaining way of working the depth and sea animals in English with children in Arts and Crafts. By Víctor Rodríguez Sánchez. 

• Science Bob

This web is very enjoyable if you want to do easy experiments in class to practise different topics of Natural Science. Besides, you can find interesting and important information about those topics for your background of your CLIL lesson plan. 

• Language guide

This is a good web to practise English vocabulary with children. Here, they can learn a lot of vocabulary about different topics and before that, they can practise it with games and listenings. 

• Natural Science + Arts and Crafts 

This model is a CLIL tool to link Arts to Science to know the names of the planets in our solar system, how they are (size) and where they are situated in the space. 

• Sheppard software

This web is wonderful to practise Geography with children. You can practise this subject by playing different games, which have different levels. Moreover, this web offers information and other games with which you can work other subjects like Maths. 

•  Opposites (YouTube)

If you want your children to learn "Opposite words", this is your song. Dynamic, with enjoyable images and a lot of rhythm.
